It's What He Created You To Be.

If you look back at ancient civilizations throughout history, they all have some understanding that there is a supreme being a higher power, some entity that deserves Their reverence and respect. Most people have a desire to connect with this creator. The reason why we have this desire is.... that God has created us in his image and likeness!
Genesis 1: (NKJV)
So, God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
This is why when you ask people if they believe in a God they will answer the question with a "Yes." or "I believe there is a higher power." some will answer with a resounding "No!" But know matter how you answer that question the truth is that God DID create you. If you don't believe that, it doesn't make it any less true. You have been created with purpose. Our purpose is to love our God and our neighbor. Jesus says in Matthew 22:36-40 (NKJV)
“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Just take a moment to think of a world where everyone on the planet adhered to these two principles. We wouldn't need prisons! The difficulty we humans have is that we tend to love ourselves first! It is kind of understandable, After all we live in a world that teaches us to " Live YOUR Best Life!" or "Do what makes you happy!" or my favorite "You do you and I'll do me!' These are saying that put self first. But that's not how God intended us to live. The main reason Jesus came to Earth was to teach us how God wants us to live and interact with each other. Eventually, he would give his life as a sacrifice to be the atonement for the sin of all humanity. The reason for his atonement was to give us a way to be holy enough to walk closer to God. The forgiveness of sin is not just a way to Heaven, it's to purify us so we can be closer to God. I have heard people say" God made me this way." when trying to justify their abnoxious behaviors. I would then answer "No you just became that way!" The thing to remember is we were not created to be selfish. Or to isolate ourselves in our very own little world. We were created to use our talent and gifts that God bestowed upon us to help others. To lift up each other. It could be teaching somebody at work how to do their job better, or giving a hungry person a meal. Try putting the needs of someone first over your own needs even if it inconveniences you. The more you practice selflessness the easier it will become. I will leave you with a quote from the most compassionate teacher Jesus Christ.
Matthew 25:40 (NKJV)
40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
